You will be met at the ship by our tour guide and escorted a few yards to your awaiting 60-foot catamaran with expert, courteous and knowledgeable crew. From here you will be taken on an exhilarating boat ride to Deep Bay, the shipwreck site of The Andes, an 866-ton 3 masted steel barque, which sank on 10th June 1905 and remains an historical resource, sitting upright in 30 feet of water.
You will given a tuition in snorkelling before you are invited to put on your mask, fins and buoyancy belt and set out, explore and enjoy the home to the colorful Caribbean marine life including parrotfish, damselfish, grunts and angelfish amongst many others. Or you can simply take a swim or relax and soak up the sun in the idyllic location onboard the boat.
After snorkeling the captain will take you to one of Antigua’s fabulous beaches where you can enjoy a swim or a relaxing walk whilst enjoying drinks from the open bar where you can enjoy rum punch, beers, water and soft drinks.
For the more energetic there is the opportunity to take a walk with your guide to Fort Barrington, built in 1779, with its fabulous view of St John’s and surrounding islands.
You then will be taken back to the pier through the crystal clear Caribbean waters and have another opportunity to soak up the Antiguan sun and see the Antiguan north-west coast line.
This is an opportunity to enjoy the Caribbean as it used to be, peaceful and tranquil yet available for as much fun as you want to make. Take a boat ride, snorkel in warm, clear waters whilst you see a wonder of brightly coloured Caribbean fish right in front of you, swim, enjoy drinks from the open bar, relax and savour the tour prepared by people who know Antigua and Caribbean the best.
And don’t forget your swimsuit, towels and camera to record wonderful memories!
NB: Snorkelling equipment includes safety buoyancy waistband, mask, snorkel and fins; professional instruction and supervision by PADI trained Guides.
